The Honorable Minister of State for Education, Dr Yusuf Tanko Sununu, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Bissallah A.Ekele, on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
Dr. Sununu said the purpose of his visit was to pay homage to his teacher and mentor, Prof. Ekele, and to thank him for his support in his political career. He promised to do his best in his new position Minister of State for Education, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In his response, the CMD, Prof. B.A. Ekele told the Honourable Minister that his new appointment did not come as a surprise because of his sterling performance at the 9th National Assembly. As the Chairman, House Committee on Healthcare Services, UATH benefited from Dr Sununu stewardship as he facilitated the Hospital Water Reticulation Project and the construction of a 50-room Call Duty Block which is 80% completed.
The CMD wished the Honorable Minister another successful outing in his new assignment and said we shall still count on his support even though he is posted to the Education sector. The August visitor signed the visitors’ book.
