It was an epic event on 18th February 2022 at the Otorhinolaryngology Department (ENT Department) of University of Abuja Teaching (UATH), Gwagwalada, Abuja where Cochlear implant was successfully carried out by the ENT team. It was epic as this surgery was the first of its kind in the hospital.
The Head of Department thanked UATH Management ably led by the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Prof. Bissallah A. Ekele, for providing an enabling environment for the surgery. He also had words of appreciation for their Consultants, teachers and trainers who worked tirelessly to make this a reality.
