The Commandant, Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim wants closer ties between the College and the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital. This is with a view to ensuring that the two sister Federal establishments play complimentary role to one another.

The commandant of the College who is also an Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, made the call when he led a team of Senior Officers of Customs at the College on a visit to the Chief Medical Director of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Dr. Peter Alabi. Alhaji Ibrahim said the College would appreciate effective collaboration in the area of Health Care for its Staff and course participants.

While expressing the deep gratitude of the comptroller General of Customs Service, for the support of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital management during the inauguration of the College by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the Commandant of the College said the Customs Service would also appreciate a visit by a medical team of the hospital to assess the medical facilities at the College for advice.

Responding, the Chief Medical Director, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Dr. Peter Alabi expressed gratitude for the visit. He assured the commandant of the preparedness of the management to partner with the Customs Staff College in areas of health care and provision of facilities that would be to the benefit of both institutions.
