Dr. Abubakar Haruna, Consultant Family Physician, has been appointed as Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital.
Until his appointment, Dr. Haruna was head of NHIS and Consultant at the General Out-Patient Department of the hospital. At a brief, yet colourful ceremony to usher Dr. Haruna into office, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Peter Alabi appealed to staff to offer excellent hands of the friendship and co-operation to the new CMAC to enable him discharge the responsibilities of the office effectively.
Earlier, the immediate past Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee Dr. Teddy Agida thanked members of Management and staff for the opportunity and support he received while he was in office. In his words: “the office of CMAC is another school entirely and the experience is indeed rewarding”. He assured his successor of his preparedness to give valuable assistance when called upon.
In his acceptance speech, the new CMAC, Dr. Abubakar Haruna promised to give his best in the discharge of his responsibilities.
