ProjectssssoftmodWorried by lapses in the Hospitals revenue collection system and determined to ensure a secured and faster way of revenue collection, the Management of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital recently sent a select group of staff of the Finance and Audit department on a week – long training on the use of the automated Revenue module of the integrated Accounting software package developed by DONAK Computers Limited. The automated revenue module generates receipts, stores and keeps track, summaries and reports of revenue receipts by the cashier.
Declaring the training open, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Peter Alabi said the manual mode of revenue collection leaves much to be desired and was no longer fashionable. He said “In the todays world of to technological advancement in virtually every field, this hospital cannot afford to be left behind.” The CMD charged the participants to rise to the challenges and opportunities provided by the training to help stimulate the revenue profile of the hospital. Dr Alabi said the new computerized system of revenue collection would help simplify the work of the participants. He commended the IT Project Manager, Ofordile Jude Tony-Okeke for exceeding expectations in managing the Hospital software computerization project. He also thanked DONAK Computers Limited for providing professional technical support to the Hospital.
Speaking on the initiative, the Assistant Director of Finance, Mr. Nimfa Zwalbong thanked Management for the decision to computerize the revenue collection system and promised on behalf of users to make the project a success. In a remark, the representative of DONAK Computers Limited and Project Manager, Ofordile Jude Tony-Okeke assured management of adequate and effective support service to ensure that the overall project objective is attained.
